I use my phone sometimes for that but the magic band is always more reliable. If you’re planning on charging to your room then I’d use the magic band. I prefer Apple Pay so I can better track my charges so the switch from the magic band hasn’t been too bad. I feel like cheap magic band is way to go in case watch dies.
