Hello, We bought 2 new Rubicon 520 - DCT-IRS-EPS - and they both developed shifting issues around the 400 mile mark. The 2017 are said to shift smoother with new shift points. Takes a few miles to break them in after that smother as butter. The low range comes in handy for plowing or going down steep hills the engine braking is the same as foot shift model. Also if the engine has been sitting for any length of time you have to run it for 5 minutes, then shut off -- wait 2 - 3 minutes and check. Even if you have just changed the oil, you will need to run the engine. This is because the oil tanks are all above the engine's oil pump.
